The original StratoScript language was intentionally as simple as possible in order to be understandable and accessible to non-programmers. And as you say many have used it to quite impressive results including half hour animated planetarium shows.

Even with the addition of a more conventional scripting language, there is still a great need for this simpler option.

Digitalis will continue to support and expand StratoScript features, but how that integrates back into the standard desktop version has yet to be determined since it was removed from version 0.10.
