For Windows I would suggest the following:
sswf-1.8.4-win32-i686.exe
It will install everything including the source code.

How do I run the decompiler? I have very little programming experience, but I just downloaded the latest version of SSWF. I found the swf_dump.exe file, but I can't figure out how it works. When I open it, it Opens for a second the closes. The same thing happens with the jpg2swf.exe, ft2sswf.exe, and asc.exe files.

SSWF does not yet support FLVs.
This being said, what you are asking is possible to do. However, in most cases, it is more efficient to have the player separate (i.e. that way you have just one.)

i got a player.swf file, it's a player. and i also got a video.flv, it's a youtube video. what i want is to merge the two files and make it a playervideo.swf, which is swf file with player, how can i reliaze that?.
