I've had some continuing troubles with the Python 1.5.2 on sourceforge. Firstly , the random function seg-faults on load up, and then there is some more randomised wierdness once hacked out. I am looking into it, so expect it back up soooon.
go to http://spellsandstuff.sourceforge.net and check out the lil demo there. It's not a 'game' yet, so don't be disapointed. Oh. and feedback as to image loading times would be real handy (with info on your connection)
Ok.... As of Nov 11 '01 There is a download there that you can play with. It's not a "real" game yet, but the display is there. If your interested in developing web game code, you are quite welcome to steal the code, or (even cooler ;) help me work this stuff. *ANYWAY* I hope within the week to have a fully nifty web page up , and pending a few lib version issues on the sourceforge server being resolved (possibly by me re-jigging some library dependencies?!) there will be a little 'demo' of the engine up there. It's just a top down click-on web game engine that doesn't have any real requirements on the pc. Although at some point soon I'm going to put together a Java viewer that'll use XML to talk to the server for quicker game times and less server loading. Have fun and contact me at sg_oneill@hotmail.com. yay.
