Source-Navigator CANNOT start in some WinXP systems.
The error screen is attached.

Check whether the Path to your project contains any spaces... SourceNav doesnt work with file names and dir names with spaces......

Remove the -fwritable-strings option from the makefiles in the tcl, tix and libgui subtrees. Snavigator will then compile and seems to work with Tk8.4.

That is right. And there is a very promising fork of source navigator underway.
