the inode.dmp file maps the "inodes" to the files - its the magic of why soss lets you re-export a file system which is mounted from another source... and what makes the inodes presistant across the servers crashes and reboots.
You can stop the service and delete the file, but I suggest you don't unless you change all the mount points or un mount the share from all the clients.
