Excellent software that duplicates the Logitech Hardware (Transporter or Squeezebox) which downloads music to your audio system from your computer. This is a great way to learn to use the hardware and remote controls that download high quality music from the Squeezebox Server on your computer to the audio hardware in your music system.

Default downloads are now for softsqueeze. I didn't realize the default had changed to squeezeslave.

Great project - it successfully allowed me to play music from squeezebox server on a Linux PC, despite the difficulties of ALSA - never been able to do this before. Simple to install & setup. To run it I had to do the following: squeezeslave -L to find out what audio devices were available then squeezeslave -o plughw:0,3 was the one that worked for me One happy user - Thanks!
