    It is good to have apps available when the computer you are working on doesn't have that type of app installed.

    Check out Inkscape or SK1. Gil became Sodipodi which became Inkscape. Of historical interest only.

    There's no simpler way to say it: this project has been completely replaced by Inkscape ( http://www.inkscape.org/ ). Inkscape has made many improvements to the UI and XML compatibility, making it so there is no reason to use Sodipodi any longer. Upgrade today!

    Sodipodi is the predecessor to InkScape. It was great on it's time, but now days InkScape is way much better. By the way: the file is in a tar.gz compression (Like a .zip but more compressed). Try 7-zip to unpack it.
