Today, after some few months of playtesting, I have declared "Generic White Dog vs. the RedBaron" stable. The new source is already up, win32 version will follow shortly, OS X version will follow whenever I get to compile it on OS X. BeOS version dito; I'm going to university tomorrow, so you're probably better off compiling it yourself (makefiles included).
Snoopy/SDL has been declared final. Bugfixes in this release include: -Weapons drop background has been slightly changed to make more clear where the ground is
New version features Mac OS & Windows option dialogue, *OpenGL support*, funky things (surely it does), homing missiles, new AI (also in BeOS!), and a new NSIS under Windows. Did I mention the OpenGL support?
New features: - Options dialog, you don't have to use the Console any more - Homing missiles - OpenGL (2D) graphics (much faster) - Ammunition boards - Better AI - Several bugfixes - Level of detail setting - Settings are saved Known Bugs: - You can not yet change the keys - In OpenGL mode, the status bar and the ammunition boards don't work. - The Matrix level does not yet support OpenGL
