The Snake Skin Bean Breaker converts Python syntax into readable Java syntax. With a high potential of runtime or compile-time deviances, the resultant code is assumed to be broken.. Works well for porting JPython JFC prototypes.

Apparently there's just not enough unix names for Snakeskin to make a certain albatross-related pthon project administrator happy. There has been what appears a 'hostile takeover' attempt of the unix name 'SnakeSkin' replete with pleadings "I have tried to contact so-and-so" and "If project xyz gets such priveleges, why shouldn't my new improved use of this name?" I have reviewed the site statistics and I am not the only software developer returning to this work after its initial construction, apparently there is somehow a value in its present form. I have used this toolkit twice since its release, both times, it served a need, and solved a problem. I have been approached once since its release to assist in a larger work, and granted free rights to use my ideas in thier own python->metalanguage->anylanguage tool. I have declined to give up this peice of clever namespace, the UNIX name "snakeskin", based on the coarse demanding nature of the request, and the evidence of this project's usefulness as intended, for view and download of what i did to accomplish an end once in a certain familiarity with the tools of the day: java, jpython, make, and sed. I could not reproduce this work without a significant cost of time and effort and it is unlikely that there will ever be a smaller identically functional solution which is contributed selflessly into the community to outlive its creator's flash of productivity. There will always be someone who wants to compare java and python, and see a way to bridge the incompatible syntaxes. With all due respect, if there is an overwhelming call from the community to solve this namespace collision, by lossless creativity, sourceforge contributors are welcome to present ideas, options, and adjunct projects which could wholly integrate the snakeskin functionality to an updated context. I will admit a level of pride in this creation and my own development as an individual promoting community sharing. Until then, please enjoy this cute hack, and its clever naming, without judgement of its size, its traffic, or its creator.
I've got the initial cut of the scripts in a state that could be considered "Helpful". Plans are to spend the next week utilizing the as-is tool and add any last-minute light bulbs that flicker on. Task is roughly 28 medium size jpython modules being converted to a free-standing java source tree with incidental use of the jpython interpreter as a design element but without retaining python source modules.
