I launch Skype with SkypeMenuX and Skype always asks whether it should allow SkypeMenuX to use its API's.
The dialog Skype displays says: Always, Just this Once, Never. I click Always.
Every time I restart though I get the same question.
This could be a Skype bug with saving preferences or just the permissions mechanism itself, or a bug in how SkypeMenuX presents itself.

I have started translating the application by duplicating the english.lproj and encountered those knots:
1) Credits are not localizable because the link points to the resources folder not the lproj
2)Available buddies not displayed anymore after translation
3)Status not translated.
Propositions:
1)Changing pointer to credits file to the lproj instead of resources
2)Strings for status...

The SkypeMenu menu bar icon remains the same regardless of the current online status. Can't it change to reveal my current status? (Actually, the Skype app's dock icon should (optionally) do this, but that's another story.)

Interesting idea. I'm actually not sure how I would go about
hiding the dock icon of another application. I suspect it
would require SIMBL or similar.

Allow Skypemenu to hide the skype dock icon.
This obviously would require skypemenu x to have all the functionality of
the dock menu item, so a decomposition of this high level feature request
is required to assess full impact on the project.
