there is a bug during the make process
with the error:
too few arguments to function ‘cvSaveImage’
to solve it i have to type:
./configure --without-v4l --with-gstreamer –prefix=/usr

The SIVP0.5 can,t run successfully under windows 7 platform, but OK with XP platform.

I cannot get my camera working under Windows Vista 64 bits edition. SIVP hangs and closes the whole Scilab.
Did I have to compile to 64 bits?.

I have installed scilab5.1.1-3 and opencv 1.1 and jdk6 in archlinux, and I followed the instructions to install SIVP0.5: ./configure, make, make install. A problem occured in the last step: "/usr/bin/scilab-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libjava.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory". Even I copied this file from /opt/java/jre/lib/i386 to...

I installed Scilab 5.1.1 (x64) under windows 7 rc 64. SIVP installation cannot detect Scilab installation and I manually selected the "contrib" folder.
When trying to start SIVP , I get the following error:
