On 2006-05-12 the replacement CVS infrastructure was put into place and
enabled for general use, following the critical CVS failures in the
previous infrastructure in the preceding weeks. The new infrastructure
provides for enhancements in performance, a large reduction in the sync
delay, greater scalability and elimination of several single points of
failure.
