A third-party Pidgin plugin for OCS/LCS

Any further progress after a couple of months? I'm attempting this too but don't like my chances.

Would be even better if there were OSX installer packages ready for download - this is really beyond the average user who just wants to replace the MS client. I'll see if I can build one however fewli0 seems furthest ahead.
