Software provides two features, 1. To identify the musical notes in a given audio file which the singer is singing at.2. To let a user practice singing individual notes of Indian music, with graphical representation of his performance.
Nice app!
Hi, The project 'SingingEGuru' began as my final year project. With seeing some encouraging results, I decided to make it open source for further development. The project aimed to provide two key features. The first is determining the musical notes that are present in an audio file. It's like generating the musical sheet for you automatically just by providing the audio. The notes can then be synthesized and played back for a selected instrument and saved. This feature is trying to determine which note is the singer singing. The key to this feature is to determine from the spectrum which frequency is the singer singing. Second feature helps you to practice singing the Indian musical notes 'Sa', 'Re', 'Ga', 'Ma'... Here a simple chart shows you how well are you singing these individual notes. Your performance is graphically showed to you. You will find a detailed guide on how to use these features with screen shots, once you extract the downloaded file. The software has been developed entirely in java using NetBeans IDE. Friends, do download and try out the software. Let me know your views on it. There are lots of improvements that can be done on this project and I'm looking forward for your help. Thanks, Siddharth Naik.
