A really terrific, powerful and flexible population simulation tool which is being actively developed and refined by a responsive, gifted dev and a small community of pro-active users. The only thing it won't do (at present) is include spatially-explicit factors as found in Nemo, but simuPOP is at least an order of magnitude easier to use which goes a very long way to compensating for this gap.
