Open source php/mysql fully featured auction script. Perfect for those who want to start their own auction site.
Perhaps if the Payment work in next release 0.8.2 ? now it don't work to pay your fees etc. Account Balance: -1.00 USD USD button (PAY) if you push the button you got this error: Fatal error: Class 'fees' not found in /home/public_html/Auc2/pay.php on line 29 you don't have to use ssl if you pay throu paypal (email)
Been using it for a while and im really impressed, its still beta so theres one or two minor bugs but over all its really good. And im looking forward to the release of 0.8 then it will be prefect with the fee option added.
Nice script and 0.8 has some really good new features
Really good script and great support, although it has bugs they are usually quickly fixed
Webid 0.7.4 is full of bugs at the moment and support at their website is trying to charge to fix via pms this Auction script its a scam
This application has a Ton of potential and will definitely be a major player in the near future. Active group and Author, worth any time you put into getting this running on your site. This is currently a free application, but remember to support the authors if you use their software! 5 out of 5 Stars ****
Pretty good but quite a few bugs in 0.8 so its best to download from http://simpleauction.svn.sf.net/
good auction product
All looks great.... But... hasnt webid forgotten something? How is the owner supposed to make money, besides a silly banner? Most scripts I have seen, enable the owner to set a fee amount.. Webid doesnt let you do any of that. The only people that would profit from this are the sellers and buyers, while the owner pays hosting fees etc. Will this basic and needful setting be available at any time? BTW... No links except the twitter link works... And... no confirmation emails get sent when a user registers on the site.. so there maybe a bug there... And... when you check version.. it says 7.03.. and tells you to update to 7.04... which I did (just in case)... only to download 7.03 again, so the folder name is wrong or their is something wrong in the code... I dont want to join twitter, but I would like to know iof there will be fixes and important additions. At least a working support page would be nice :)
good!!!!
nice
Awesome so far. nice Job!
I've been operating a full-blown auction site running WeBid 0.7.4 for about a month now. The site is getting tons of traffic and has attracted well over a hundred members already. The install was smooth and the site hums along with no issues. To the previous poster who said 0.7.4 was full of bugs and that you were being charged for support - I have to ask, are you sure you're talking about the same script? Support is free via the community support form, and you can find pretty much any help you need as long as you're no so lazy that you can't bother to do a search or post a question. To be honest, I have a hard time finding anything to criticize with WeBid, but I guess in the interest of being "fair and balanced" I will say that if you have a specific support question, response time is very inconsistent - maybe an hour or maybe a few days. But considering that this project is the mostly effort of one person - who is working for FREE - it's hard to complain. My only other criticism is that the default template is, well... butt ugly. Be prepared to do some CSS. Other than that, WeBid is AWESOME!
lol
