When you want to check for indexed backlinks from several backlink distributors, but using the same original long url this bug allows for easier tracking. I will report back if it does or does not fit my needs, but I had been looking for this bug (multiple shorturls for single long) - option, or feature in both paid and fee products unsuccessfully.
