  • ShapeImEx 1.0 alpha 2 released

    Today the second alpha version of ShapeImEx has been released. The audience is encouraged to download and test this release and notify the project administrator of any problems. ShapeImEx is a Windows tool for importing/exporting shape files from/to a with PostGIS spatially enabled PostgreSQL database. ShapeImEx is a GUI frontend for pgsql2shp and shp2pgsql which come with the PostGIS extension. Features added in this version: - Importing shp-files into PostGIS. - Create, append, drop/create or prepare spatial table on importing a shp-file. - Option to set SRID on importing. - Option to use int4 type on importing. - Option to keep PostgreSQL identifiers case on importing. - Option to create a GiST index on importing. - Option to create simple geometries on importing. - The geometry column's name can be specified. - Geometry columns for a spatial table are limited to the ones read from the table geometry_columns. - Exporting a spatial sql query to shp-file.
