my t28 setup seems to be broken. i'll have to fix it first to make some tests (i have a PL2303 converter too).
as far as i remember this should only have been a problem with solaris 10 (slow refresh when using usb-ser.-converters) but it seems to be a problem with linux setups too ..
try playing around with setserial (i hope that i'll have some time to find the problem with the t28 setup...

Hey,
I've successfully attached an Ericsson A1018s display to the serial port, it works perfectly. However, the target board I'd like the display to attach to doesn't provide any serial ports, so I tried with a PL2303-based USB-Serial Converter.
The display works, but it is *really* slow (refreshing the display, etc.)!
Any advice what I can do?
Thanks.

svn revision: change into serdisplib directory (created by svn checkout) and enter 'svn info'. there you'll see the revision number.
if you have a usb1.1-hub (not usb2) try connecting the display via this hub. do you have any other usb devices connected to your board (i've faced some strange interactions with other usb devices/displays)
do you have to reconnect the display after a display...
