Selftest will provide an open, automated way of allowing a user to test his knowledge, either with questions they created, or another Selftest user created. It will provide the tools to create/distribute questions (exams) & receive them.

I've put up the newest version of the Selftest source code. This is a pretty cool time in the project because finally some enterprise functionality can be added to it. With this release, there is code to create a database for Selftest, and code to populate it with as many Course (STX) files as you have. For the next release I will be studying J2EE/EJB. I was going to wait a while longer, but I can already see where moving any further without EJB will convolute the relatively clean class structure, by adding functionality to core classes that shouldn't be there. But anyway, here we go! Hax.
Hi all.. Just wanted to let you know that Ver 0.25.47 has been released. No major feature enhancements, but some big bug fixes are in there. Check the Notes. Enjoy! Hax.
If you downloaded the code since the last update (in December 2002!) it is likely that you were unable to load any STX documents in the client or in the editor. This is because the DTD that was needed to parse the XML wasn't in the right place. I've addressed this with a new installer. I also have access to a clean machine now, so I tested it and it works as designed. So download the new version to actually get a taste of Selftest. Enjoy! Hax.
