Even more info: this works on WinXP with both Java 5 SR4 and SR8, and fails on Windows Server 2003 with both Java SR4 and SR8. This would seem to indicate that neither of the JVMs are at fault since the failure is now based on the OS.

In cimlxs.c we have:
scriptdir="/usr/local/bin";
That prevents to just use 'configure --prefix=/usr' for installation in /usr instead of /usr/local.
Additionally as the listservices script is not used by any other application and so it could also go into a package private directory like '$prefix/share/sblim-cmpi-service/' just like the 'provider-register.sh' does.
