SAMs emulates a basic answering machine. It maintains a single voicemail box that automatically detects faxes and is remotely accessable with a password. Also enables remotely activating an Internet connection, and changing the greeting.

SAMs release 1.1
Version 1.1 of the Simple Answering Machine Service is relased, adding the ability to send email notification of new messages received. This is in addition to SAMs ability to detect fax/data calls, remotely access/delete messages, change the greeting, activate an internet connection, and short-cut all prompts
