The following formats are available to be downloaded:
- PHP: This format contain the master code and an user instance ready to work. This package is a single PHP self-extract file to allow downloaders to put directly into the server and then, execute it to prepare SaltOS to run.
- RPM: This format is the tipical GNU/Linux based RedHat package. It's installed into /usr/share/saltos for the main code and /var/www/saltos for the user instance code and symbolic links.
- EXE: This format it's an special case of SaltOS. This not provide a profesional environment to run in Microsoft Windows systems. Only allow to test the application to see the main features and how work it. Additionaly, the setup package contain a copy of Apache and PHP to install it. This package it's intended to be used in systems that not contain nothing server software as Apache and PHP. If you need to test it in a Microsoft Windows system that contain some packages installed as Apache or PHP, we recomend to use the TGZ package or contact with us to get a more precise help.
- TGZ: This format contain the master code and an user instance ready to work. It's the same content that the PHP package, but the user must extract the files using the tar -xvzf command directly from the server. The PHP performs this task without user intervention. This package allow experts users to personalize some things about the installation process but not is recomended as first option if you are not an expert.
