    I should have added:
    1. the issue with the splash screen used to occur on other platforms when the delay for showing the splash screen was too short. The splash screen is probably not needed so your fix is fine.
    2. "rur-ple" was the official name ... but I didn't think I could use "-" in directory names, hence the reason why I used "rurple" for the sourceforge project. Either is fine.
