@genodeftest I prefer git. There's a github repository for RSSOwl (looks a little stale), and SourceForge supports it. Programming the Java is probably not as hard as figuring out how to build the project. I've already written one RSSOwl patch (twice) for this problem, but I can't test it or use it privately because... handwavey Eclipse stuff that when it works is very very good, and...

@genodeftest : does't SF have a bugtracker for it's users? I'm not a dev, still, I'll be glad to help you out if i can. if you need web space, bugtracker or so, just ask me... If bpasero refuse to give you access and if you have enough people to help you out with code, why don't you create a fork of rssowl?.

  • Followup: RE: Google Sync Issue

Thank you for the update Ben. I appreciate you looking into the issues, and understand you will fix it when you have a chance! Are there any further details or assistance I can provide to help when you start troubleshooting? I have not tested Reeder, but I cannot personally recommend FeedDemon as an alternative. It is lacking critical features related to automatic searches, and I found the...

Some more relevant information, my test install on my other machine has started giving the same bug. It was installed with imported settings from my first install though.. May I ask who the lead developers on this project are?.

  • Reset "Cleanup" State & ...

Hi, I'm having a few problems with RSSOwl. One at a time: How do I reset the delete count and get all articles for all feeds? Thank you!

  • Google Sync Issue

As users are reporting sync issues, I wanted to quickly post on the plans to resolve them: There are no plans atm. I am not able to look into this issue in the next days. I will post back until I had time to see whats the issue (I think it might be that Google changed the expiration date of access tokens). There are really good alternatives like FeedDemon or Reeder. Both support GR sync...

  • Followup: RE: ANyone having sync issues

I should note that I'm running another copy of RSSOwl on a second machine as a test. The machine is running on the same network as my first. I actually imported all my settings from my first install. Currently, it has not suffered any of the sync problems my primary install has. I actually reinstalled my main copy of RSSOwl originally, and while it initially fixed the problem, it repeated...

  • Followup: RE: Cant get display the way I like it

And btw: if you copied RSSOwl's folder as I said in steps 1./2., you can just revert back to RSSOwl's state from there.

  • Followup: RE: Cant get display the way I like it

For disabling sync with google reader you should add the feeds to RSSOwl (directly) and then delete them from Google Reader. BUT NOTE: The moment you delete them from Google Reader your stored news items are lost. RSSOwl can only "restore" those articles (news) which are provided by the server at the moment you add the feed directly to RSSOwl, there won't be to much (usually about...
