RIPS can protect data in a manner that minor corruptions can be balanced out by adding some redundancy to it.
Improved manpage about the archive format and added version 2 format description.
- Restructured the whole program to allow easier addition of new archive versions and parsing.
- more documentation changes
- fixed/enhanced parameter parsing
- added new options
- The manpage now contains a rather lengthy explaination how to determine proper values for blocksize and the number of slices (and the math behind it)
It's able to produce the 'archives' and extract the data from the archives, but not if there is an error.
- finally added error recovery code Currently the program does not abort if two slices have been hit, I probably should add an option what to do in that case..next time.
- added some more error checking code
