Gedit (Gnome editor, www.gedit.org) plug-in allowing it to become an easy-to-use and yet light-weight IDE for the statistical programming environment, R (www.r-project.org).
Bravo!!! ;-)
Sweet! A nice, simple tinn-R on Linux. One comment: using gedit 2.28 on Ubuntu 9.10, the R console isn't visible unless you detach it.
Superb job. Light, fast and easy to use.
Excellent work. Neat little plugin..does its job very well.
Great!
Perfect for my needs. Light, simple, convenient. Thanks!
Thanks for Gedit with R. Just Great! Greetings from Germany
Thanks a lot for that, this is great and exactly what I have been looking for!
Great job, much easier to use than the R Eclipse addon. I'm still searching for a way to run auto-run commands on startup of the R console - it would be nice to set the working dir (setwd()) to a gedit environment variable...
The ability to send R commands to a console has been sorely needed in Gedit for a long time - and now it is here. This is a very functional plugin that allows Gedit to become an excellent R editor. This plugin will save users of R from learning another program, as they can now use R straight from the default text editor in Ubuntu and other Linux distributions.
