  • trying to compile it in Mac OS X

hello, used (and loved) regexxer in Ubuntu. Now i'm trying to configure and compile it in Mac OS X. Paths are different in Mac, and the farthest I got was to: run autoconf to update configure and then run ./configure PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/sw/lib/pkgconfig:/sw/lib/fontconfig2/lib/pkgconfig/ got stuck here, with the error message: Package x11 was not found in the pkg-config search path...

  • Followup: Fonts: Partially solved, still need help!

Oops, sorry, someone just pointed out to me the preferences that let me adjust the size of the text in the file display window. I'd still like to find the way to adjust all the other font sizes, including that on the file list and those on the GUI display itself including the menus.

  • Adjusting Font Sizes

Very nice utility! But, the font sizes are all too small for my old eyes. I need to adjust almost everything--the fonts on the main display itself, on the menu, and in the various text boxes. I use kde rather than GNOME (I assume gtk is nominally related to GNOME). All hints appreciated!

  • clipboard problem: ctrl+v doesn't work

If we cut or copy some text and we try to paste it in the search or replace fields with the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+V) the text will be pasted in the main text view control. Instead if we use the mouse (right click > paste) the problem doesn't sussist. Version is 0.9 under Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04. PS. There is also a patch here: -->...

  • Abilitity to load list of files from external text file

Currently the list of files to be worked on is generated by the three fields "Pattern", "recursive" and hidden. Sometimes the list of files is more complex than what can be generated by this command. For such a cases it would be nice if the list of files can be generated externally and then loaded into regexxer. I suggest the following changes: 1. Add menu entry File/Load file list that...

  • Comment: folder selection broken

That's a known problem. It turns out to be a GtkFileChooser bug: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=579958 I'll keep this bug open until the GTK+ bug is resolved.

  • folder selection broken

The gist of the bug is described at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=525186 In a nutshell, the 'other' option (used for specifying a new folder for searching) is gone from the 'Folder' pull-down. It seems to be present in other gtk applications (e.g., sound-juicer). Although it doesn't look like there's much difference between the debian 0.9 and the sourceforge repository...
