I love the "idea" behind this project: Nice easy to use interface.. It is Not "scary..." However ... there are some real problems with this project as it stands. 1) When restoring on a multi-partition system Redo Backup and Recovery, did NOT allow me to choose a destination partition to restore to. Its only option was to restore to the drive itself, not a partition on that drive. The end result is the wiping out of all other partitions on said drive if one restores. Several reboots/restarts and reattempts never provided me with the option to restore to an individual partition. This makes the project pretty much useless except for the most basic needs IMO... 2) Slow. Slow! Slow!!!! It takes well over twice as long to image a disk or partition as it takes Clonezilla even though they both use partclone etc.. The speed issue also makes this a "no go" for any real enterprise requirements even if its restore feature allowed for bare-metal restores on multipartition systems. Keep at this project though! It is version ONE and cannot be expected to have it all sorted out.

Thanks for a the great job done on this one. Before using Redo Backup and Restore for my clients, I ran several backups and restores on a test machine. Each restore was flawless.

Very useful and the best free / open source alternative to the old Norton Ghost. :) Currently I am using it to do backup or my own and client machines, and will recommend it to others.

Most of the mac users (like me) runs DiskWarrior since it's invention for data safety. Redo is directing the same build philosophy. While I'm looking for data recovery app's over net, after struggling a whole night, just dropped my quest to source forge and found this cleverly designed app. Redo seems will be my definite stop for my data recovery needs. Congratulations and thanks for your efforts.
