This is a web interface to convert audio, video and documents to various formats. Acts just like a wizard. RedKonvert is written in php. It's nothing fancy (no CSS no AJAX/javascript). Just plain old HTML and PHP (maintaining the "KISS" ideology).

Before the converting video option is enabled, I am developing a queue manager for the audio. I will then use this as the video queue manager and enable video conversion.
Added missing dependency and found a bug in sox and abiword that need updated packages for Ubuntu Hardy.
There is a bug in sox and abiword in the hardy packages. Also, there is one dependency missing from the install file. You must also install the package normalize-audio.
Apparently there is a bug with abiword 2.4.6 in hardy and the new 2.6* packages were rejected from updates in hardy. Anyway, it will cause problems when converting odt to doc and pdf's. To fix this, go here: http://abisource.com/wiki/Install_on_Ubuntu
There are a few tasks/bugs left before RedKonvert will be useful. Currently, there is a bug in handling filenames with spaces, apostrophes and quotes. No artwork has been created for the project yet. Also, the first release will have no progress bar yet. I am still working on the amount of features I want to include with the video encoder.
The audio frontend is a work in progress. I believe the document converter is still working, however I have not set up the document converter to remove invalid filename characters. Once the audio is done, I will move on to the video conversion. Metadata tags for the audio and video are not supported at the moment.
The document converter is currently working. I am part way through the audio conversion. I am not ready to release the code just yet. Once the Video portion is done, then I will release it to the public. If anyone has any questions or suggestions, feel free to send them to me.
