Development/demo/test site is going up shortly.
I was originally going to make the questnuke modules for postnuke. However, since then, I discovered e-xoops. 1. Easier to administrate. 2. Better internal structure. 3. Better security. 4. Easier to modify other people's code and understand what you're doing. 5. Easier to code within the well-laid-out structure. 6. Easier for anyone to make themes, because these are just html and css, with very little php. e-xoops is just not another nuke/cms/whatever clone. It has features which really set it apart from the rest. I've installed and tested over 14 different content management systems... and this one is definitely the easiest to work with. IMO, of course.
Questnuke is a fully modded, installable Postnuke for the purpose of keeping track of adventure/rpg game creation. We will use existing mods wherever possible, and write them where they do not yet exist. We will also add basic permissions to the Questnuke install that will give the site six levels of access - site admin, project admin, project subadmin, team, fan, and guest. It will incorporate: Postnuke core at 0.723 or later Mailer module (to add and read team news via email) Phpbb2 mod (public and private forums) Project tracking Updownload (certain users will have permission to upload files) Gallery Genealogy (write Character modules to interact with these tables) Subjects (for plot information and stats) FormExpress (for feedback and enquiries) My current game project has drastically slowed down through lack of data management. We have created a lot, but there isn't yet an easy way to let everyone on the team know about what we have done, so people keep reinventing the wheel. I think a content management website system for game creation would be a really good idea. It is definitely GPL, as it will mostly be incorporating third-party postnuke modules, and postnuke is itself GPL. It will be free for other game creation teams to download and customize for their game projects.
