  • My favourite desktop distro currently. More convenience to use and it's a lot easier to isolate the network and applications I used on Qubes rather than using physical hardware/network separation like before. This project is quite interesting and keep coming with new great features on every new version launched. I feel confident when using Qubes than anything else. It's better if in the next version (4.0) they include Subgraph OS as a new template and option to use grsec kernel on that template! By the way, this distro is not for everyone/hardware. It's being picky and only run nicely on the system that is compatible with it. Make sure to check 'Hardware Compatible List' before you decide to install.
  • Excellent way to protect your main PC and its data. Qubes tries to marry strong security to a good user experience, and I think its succeeding. Its hardened system of interfacing hardware and virtual machines is brilliant and its UI constanly informs you about the security context of what's on screen. Qubes can even defend against #BadUSB. The main issue with Qubes is you have to be choosy about the computers you install it on (see the Qubes HCL page at their website).
  • Using it as my main OS since early 2014. A very good and stable implementation of the concept of Security by Isolation. Wouldn't turn back, as it changed my way of working and thinking about the securitization of my workstation.
