Description
pySioGame is a set of grid based educational activities for young children. (Written for LINUX in Python with Pygame)
The app includes some basic activities in maths, reading and writing, memory, etc. While it is not a programing piece of art children under 10 might find it useful - and hopefully won't complain about badly written code :)
More activities are being developed but graphic design is not the strongest of author's skills which quite significantly limits the possibilities. Most of the nicest graphics used in the game were created by talented people who contributed their works to openclipart.org, and other sites.
The application is playable but still unfinished. Testing was limited to a couple of PCs running Ubuntu.
Requirements:
- OS: Linux
- python 2.7+
- python-pygame
- espeak
Please contact the author if you would like to help in translation of this application.
Features
- letter flashcards, jumbled abc, word mazes, sorting letters
- learn to write (best used with touchscreens or drawing tablets)
- maths - counting, basic operations, sorting numbers, fractions, shapes
- learn colour names
- short term memory training activities
- mazes and puzzles

Nice set of games, works like a charm. You may just mark it executable and it loads on doubleclick.
