PyPIV is (a clone of URAPIV) a Python-based toolbox for Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) analysis. PIV is a non-intrusive, imaging-based experimental technique for measuring flows. URAPIV is now called OpenPIV and it's not only open-source Matlab toolbox: http://www.openpiv.net
