Pyjamas is a python to Javascript compiler, Widget set, Framework and Toolkit for Application development that runs on Web browsers. The developer need not know anything about AJAX: all the AJAX tricks, for all major browsers, are entirely taken care of.

Feels rough around the edges at first, but it's really very useable. I'm making wonderfully fast progress on a sizable web-app thanks to pyjamas. There's a lot of learning by example since the classes themselves are poorly documented. Luckily there's plenty of examples, and the code is quite clean and understandable. The project's web-presence is also really scattered, leaving me wondering a lot about where the developers taking pyjamas.
