I am using Python 3.6 on Windows 10. I created setup.py
from distutils.core import setup
import py2exe
setup(console=['test.py'])
I run this script and then run test from windows prompt and it gives output of test.py
but I am not able to find where is test executable
But if I run the command python setup.py py2exe
I get IndexError: tuple index out of range
Can anyboy explain this strange behaviour?

I use py2exe to package the Windows version of my popular cross-platform PyGTK app, and py2exe works great. I just wish there were recent updates to keep up with new versions of Python and Windows.

Nicely done. Only hitch was downloading the proper version for my pc build system (a 32-bit windows 7 vm).

We have been using py2exe for production software distributed to customers for years. Some of our customers cannot install a separate python environment, but they can use the embedded executable. Yes, it would be nice to have all the python modules for the newest version of python, but without this module we could not use python at all.
