But I was wondering if there's an example setting things like "QUERY_STRING" before executing a script that I am passing in... ?

Alcinoe project does this by calling through the php5isapi.dll, but it does not seem to allow me to bypass php's loading a script from disk like this does, which is very very cool...

What do you mean: php4delphi component or php4applications dll? If you speak about php4delphi component you have the collection of variables as a component property. php4applications demo also shows how to specify the variables values before executing the script or code
