props 0.8 upgrade problems

    I have tried to upgrade a friend's props installation from 0.7 to 0.8 but despite the fact that I followed carefully the instructions I had the following issues:
    I have a problems with the encoding - where can I change encoding global settings?
    2. It seems that all the articles and issues are showing on the index page. Is there any additional information about props's configuration exept the files included in the package? Before the upgrade only the current issue was showing. Any additional information will be highly appreciated.
