A very simple tool for transfering files between different workstations, for all those who work at different machines on same projects. Taking your projects home is as simple as inserting a CD-RW and letting the program transfer files. No installation.

In case anyone comes to this site, I'd like to let you know that I am working on another solution to the problem that Projects Briefcase was supposed to solve. When using Projects Briefcase I have found that with time you get just too many directories with different versions of your files. It is also not always possible to know in advance what files you may be needing. I have written a program called "Wide synchroniser", or "Wiser" for short, that can keep a large set of files in sync between several computers. I have successfully used it for a few months now, but I am not releasing it to public yet, as setting up is too complicated at the moment and the risks after a bad setup are just too high. Watch https://sourceforge.net/projects/wiser/ for news regarding Wiser. I hope to have it available real soon now.
2003.03.13 Split the files to the binary and source archive. Improvements to the structure of source directories. Automatic updates of the web page and the readme file from a common source. Minor corrections in the docs. 2003.03.10 The first public release of "Projects briefcase". This version is already a major improvement (in terms of ease of use) compared to the pre-release version used internally by the author. Only an MS Windows executable for now, but porting was facilitated by separating the OS-specific part (e.g. Windows shell functions) from the OS-independent part. Please let me know if you would like to port it e.g. to Linux. I only tried it on Windows XP. I have used some Windows shell functions which have been extended in newer versions of Windows. Please do let me know if you have any success/problems using it on any other version of MS Windows. A web page and documentation added later on in the day.
