A community driven firmware for the Linksys WAG54Gv2 ADSL2+ wireless router. Code named 'pluto' - the project seeks to build a stable, fast and efficient linux based firmware for the AU Linksys WAG54Gv2 router, based on original vendor GPL code.
I used this firmware (and earlier versions) on a production ADSL2+ Annex M router 24/7 for 2 years getting 20Mbps down and 2Mbps up. Not one unexpected drop out and great performance. Didn't even have a heatsink on the cpu, but would reccommend this as safer. Left my latest Billions for dead- fully featured and much nicer to use and configure. This is what Linksys would have done if their people were capable of showing some love for their software. The job they did with the original firmware build had plenty of broken bits and bugs. This project (pluto) fixed all that and is a classic case of those that do do, those that can't bide their time and hide behind a big organsiation. Well done guys, you deserve medals and commendations for what you've done!
