    Hi!

    I'm not sure about prism54 cards because i don't have access to one for testing. You might try some stuff to find out more about what the card supports trying some commands:
    - iwconfig eth2 mode monitor
    If this works you should have monitor mode support via wireless extensions.
    - iwlist scan
    If this shows results (or no error message at least) you should have passive scanning support. Not that perfect, but ok to discover networks.
