high CPU load

    Hi
    When I unplug my AC adapter, after a while kpowersave creates a big CPU load.
    It looks like it happens when it toggles the CPU speed down for the first time.
    After I restart kpowersave, it is OK again.
    What is causing this high CPU load and is there a log file to check?

    Here some infos:
    Qt: 3.3.8b
    KDE: 3.5.9
    KPowersave: 0.7.x (0.7.3)
    Powersave package version: 0.15.20
