    Ok, let me double check on what the goal for this project is? The idea is to make a universal portage system? One that could be used with any distro, not just Gentoo?

    If so, that would be awesome...I've been wishing someone would make such a thing. That could make for huge strides in the Linux community. As a newb Linux user, I find emerge's automation to be great, but Gentoo itself to require to many hardcore command line skills. Good luck :)
