Dear all,

i've got the same problem so others have already reported:

When i start up PocketUAE on my o2 xda trion (HTC Hermes)
This is a WM5 (NON-VGA) device with a 400Mhz XScale CPU, nearly 30M RAM is free.
PocketUAE is installed on SD-Card (also tried to run from main memory - no luck!)

PocketUAE will start fine, but then just show a blank screen with a green and a red icon on the screen bottom and the whole PocketPC will hang.

I've tried with a variety of ROM images (1.3, 2.0, 3.1), CPU settings (68000, 68020), with and without floppy.

Problem stays the same - just a blank screen.
With the Rom 2.0 i got a dark blank screen and the green (FDD?) button on screen bottom read "0 2" instead of "0 0" - that was the only difference i was able to get.

I tried with and without floppy - no changes. I didn't even get the "workbench" sign, no matter which floppy i used.

stderr.txt and stdout.txt are just empty, even if i enable Debug.

I've tried with the current PocketUAE Version and also with the previous one (from 2005) - same result.

I'm on wits end - has anybody has any idea?

Have tried tons of Configurations for hours and hours. Must be a WM5 issue, no?

Man, this hurts!!! Best phones on the world, being bought by people over 30 years old, who loved the Amiga when they were teens.

Please make this work!

Same Problem: HTC Trion O2(Hermes)

I also have tried many configs with the same "Black Screen" result making me hard reset the device.
HTC TyTN / MDA Vario II etc...
I thought this would rule with the slide out keyboard with no need for the onscr keyb.

Theres a nice shiny donation in it for you :)

Sarcophaser, Defender of the Crwon, Turrican (Chris Hüllsbeck Music), Project-X, Full Contact, Lionheart, Shuffle Puck Cafe, Battlechess etc...

Well, I went over from the C64 directly to the PC, so I've no objections whatsoever against the Atari ST. That's why I'd simply recommend CastCE for all those games that were produced for both the Amiga and the Atari.
At least CastCE has been developed properly, it's highly compatible and it runs like a charm.

me too. i'm having exatly the same problem, although i get a dark blank screen with older kickstart and white / grey blank screen with kickstart 1.3. it hangs and i have to soft reset.

using MDA Vario II (HTC Hermes)

i have mio p350 and i see only white screen when emulator started. OS - WINDOWS MOBILE 5.
have any idea ??

Hi, i'm getting the same problem on my v1605 (HCT Hermes). Been searching everywhere trying to figure this one out. Anyone had any more joy than me?

I have the same problem on my o2 Trion. But when i choose "no sound" it's go back to the menu and don't hang up. I think it's a problem with the sound card in the debice?!

I have the same issue with a hermes as well, using WM6. In the error log it says something about an illegal instruction. I can post the full log if that will help anyone?

I'm using an XDA Trion with WM06 - exactly the same problems, and I've tried a variety of Kickstarts/games/reinstalls...I *really* wanted to play some after-school favourites on the go - somebody fix this please! :)
