Practical Music Search is a ncurses-based client for the Music Player Daemon. It has a command line interface much like Vim, and supports custom colors, layouts and key bindings. PMS aims to be accessible and highly configurable.
I haven't seen a music player like it. It is my main music player. Very well written.
Excellent and lightweight player. I keep it open in a tmux window all day long. I love that you can set the key bindings to whatever you want. Combine the ability in this player to execute shell commands with fetching lyrics on the command line (instructions for which you can find using Google), and you have a very versatile player.
