pmping (pmping is a multi ping script). A script to ping multiple hosts, and check for their availability and responsiveness. It sends beeps through the internal speaker, suitable for servers and/or headless monitoring.
IMPORTANT: I have been informed that the beep2 site has become offline. Since this script still uses it, I've put a copy of the program on the project web site. If you are using SUSE, you may find an RPM package there too.
