  I wanted to move away from Adium since i want a unified text based log system, that pidgin provided. I had installed pidgin from fink sources, but it did not work to my liking. The icons were all missing etc and many other issues, not to mention that fink sources somehow altered all my path's and my perl broke. Pidgin-macosx has almost everything i want. Wish there were some ways to integrate it with growl for notifications, or configure guifications with it.
