Philtron is a proxomitron-like filtering HTTP proxy server writ entirely in PHP. Major design goals include removing unwanted/hostile content from web pages, better anonymity measures (HTTP headers control), user friendly, web-based configuration.

Philtron sister project started
http://sourceforge.net/projects/phaeton/ Phaeton is a multi user agent class written in PHP, capable of simultaneously downloading several remote pages over HTTP. Use it instead of Snoopy, it is a lot faster if you need to get several pages. It reuses the fetcher functionality of Philtron.
