Perl-oicq provides Perl module Net::OICQ which implements OICQ messaging protocol.It includes a concole-only OICQ client for you to chat with tens of millons of OICQusers through servers operated by Tencent.
Please upgrade to version 1.6. It fixes a nasty bug caused by bad packets sent by servers.

1.6 Sat June 16, 2007 - fixed a bug in get_data that would cause deep recursion on receiving a all null packet. - add new sub group_int_id to make it easy to use group related functions.
Some users reported that they were unable to login with Version 1.4. Version 1.5 fixes the problem with login server redirection, hopefully.
