  • Just got it running off the PPA. seems good sofar on ubuntu 11.04. maybe some instructions on starting the GUI with sudo would be helpful.

  • Of course this is never going to be perfect protection. A company like BayTSP can always get a new DSL/cable/whatever account or simply a new network range and use that to do its tests. Unfortunately one way around that is to use a 'Business ISPs' list, but that same ISP will likely also serve people you *do* want to communicate with so you're left with a difficult choice. But using PeerGuardian does mean you're not an *easy* target. Anti-P2P companies are going to have to catch you active on a torrent before their new IP range is included in the frequently updated lists. I'd recommend carrying out any 'shady' P2P activity with only private (invite only) trackers if you're paranoid.
